Had a good play with this lens today out in the garden. I've had it for a few weeks now, but didn't really get the opportunity to do any 1:1 stuff till today.

The result - I'm impressed - especially for a lens that only cost $419 from Digital Rev.

As has already been reported, the autofocus isn't blisteringly fast, but that isn't really an issue with close up work where manual focus will invariably give you a better result. The contrast, sharpness and bokeh of this lens are very impressive.

I'm looking forward to using it more often.

JB & I headed down to Narooma last week to the 11th annual Telstra Great Southern Blues & Rockabilly Festival.
This annual blues music festival features a great lineup of Australian and international artists over 3 days of music.
